WHEN DO WE GATHER
Sunday, July 16, between 9am and 10am.
The vehicle we ride on must be checked in between 8:00-8:30am, in position by 9am. Marchers must be in position no later than 10:30am. Parade begins at 11:00am.
WHERE DO WE MEET
Meet in the North Park Blocks on NW 8th Ave, between NW Everett and NW Davis.
GETTING THERE
Parking will be extremely limited. Transit or carpooling is highly recommended!

PARADE ROUTE
The parade begins at 11am, one block to the east of our starting position. Route is marked below:

We will have a small pickup (thank you Julie!) to decorate at 9am, and probably six grannies can ride in the bed during the parade. Currently four spots are taken. If you want to ride in the truck, please contact Gamble asap: 904-574-6241.
The parade takes about 30 minutes to walk from start to finish, but recognize that we will stop and dance along the route.
WEAR
- Granny gear! Aprons, hats, white gloves, rainbow colors.
- WEAR COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES.
BRING
- Water (with your name on the bottle!), sunscreen, light clothing layers, a joyful heart.
- BE PREPARED FOR WALKING OR SITTING IN THE SUN FOR THREE HOURS. Chairs you can carry are good. Cushions if you are riding in the truck are good.

MEDIA
If you are approached by media for a statement, please direct them to RIVER MONTIJO, our spokesperson. If you’re comfortable being in photos, you can let media take them of you without involving River.
PERFORMING
We will be performing a simplified version of the the “SHOUT” dance during the parade. When you hear the song start, it’s time to dance!

ROADIES
Emily is organizing the roadies. We have 8 roadies in 2023! During the parade our roadies pull the carts and wagons with our water bottles and sweaters.
